A Day in the Life

Our minds never shut off. It's the truth. Once one light bulb goes off, a bolt of lightning hits the ground with the power of a nuclear bomb. Other times, it's just a soft whisper on the breeze saying, "tell my story". I kid you not.

It doesn't end there, either. We have a bottomless pit of curiosity that needs to be filled. Constantly, we are going down a rabbit hole, and a squirrel pops out and has us climbing a tree hunting for nuts. Sometimes, they are walnuts and sometimes they are serial killers or assassins. Other times, it's a dove insisting it's time to write a love story.

You may think our dreams are of wealth and popularity. They aren't. Our dreams are usually the muse in us telling us another story that we didn't listen to them over the noise of the bombs, the birds, the squirrels and the ever-present faeries of the underworld. We don't go to sleep at night, we go into adventure mode, flying through the dark starlit skies looking below at green pastures, waterfalls, majestic mountains, oceans and villages lost in time.

With that said, we do appreciate ever reader who picks up or downloads one of our books and takes the time to read to the end. And to do us the honor of leaving a review or a recommendation so that others will do the same. You've heard of starving artists? We are sleepless, starving artists with not a moment's peace.

In addition to our writing, we generally have other responsibilities including our beloved families who have to put up with us, jobs, homes, pets, and other hobbies that pull us away from our sturdy--and sometimes not so sturdy--laptops...or our notebooks of ideas...or our ancient typewriters.

Sigh...I guess what I'm saying is that a day in our life is not glamorous...but it sure is satisfying to put those words on paper and bring them to life. It's what we love doing. Telling stories for all of you to get lost in--even if it's only for a few moments each day.
