We have already established that one of my favorite parts about fall is the color. Well...there just isn't enough color yet, but I'm hoping by the time I go up to the Wisconsin Dells that the landscape will be in its full regalia. Okay...no more complaining. In my little book world, the latest news is that my new non-fiction book I'm Not Crazy...I'm Clairvoyant was officially released yesterday. I've been at the shop all day today and have signed two copies...not bad at all.

Things have been really hectic these last couple of weeks. I did manage to get my tomatoes and spaghetti sauce canned as well as trying my hand at corncob jelly. This was a two-day job, not to mention the mess it creates in the kitchen. My apple butter didn't turn out the way it has in the past; it looks and tastes more like applesauce with a red tint (my mother used Red Hots in hers, so I do too). I had a lovely day at Romantic Galena Reads on Saturday. Time with my author friends is always a perfect way to spend time. It was a quick trip for me--I only spent one night--but it was still good. The drive, not so much. Galena is an 8+ hour drive for me since I refuse to go through Chicago. By the time I rolled into my neighbor's driveway for his birthday party on Saturday night, it was near 1 am and I was dead on my feet. The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy.
