We did it! We opened the bookstore yesterday and were absolutely thrilled with the outcome!! The Bookworm Orchard Books and Gifts is off and running! Even though it's a soft opening with limited hours, we are gearing up for our GRAND OPENING EVENT on April 25, 2026 with over 25 authors coming onsite to talk about and sign their books for all you readers out there!! You can find everything you need to find us on our website bookwormorchard.com

Next on our agenda is our very first workshop titled Celtic Folklore being presented by the amazing Bob and Connor Freeman and yours truly! You can sign up by dropping into the shop, leaving us a message on our Facebook page, or just coming to the shop the day of the event...March 7th, 2026...it will run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and there might just be some traditional Celtic treats for your enjoyment.

Now that the shop is open and it's not quite gardening season, it's time for me to buckle down and get back to work on Reprisal so that I can start back on Uncommon Heather. (I bought an amazing cover image yesterday for this book so watch for the cover reveal in upcoming weeks). I also have a lot more in the works...Imbolc - Book 3 of Wheel of the Witch...Sunfower Acres...and I'm Not Crazy-I'm Clairvoyant...Sound like a good line up?? I hope so!!

I mentioned gardening season and even though it's not time to plant outside, it is almost time to start those seeds in my seed snails. I'm waiting for my herb seeds to arrive from Eden, and then I'll get these all set up. If you are interested in my seed starting methods, I do have another website, and blog, called the Green Witch Medium where you can follow along.

We have some warm weather heading our way this next week, but I know better than to let it fool me because in Indiana, we all know that we can get spring, winter, fall and summer all in one week...sometimes in one day! So, I'll take the melted snow and muddy yard knowing that it will probably freeze up and snow again in March or even April. Which is why I don't even try to do my plant setting outside until after Mother's Day.

Okay...I'm going to call it a wrap for today's blog and get busy tidying the shop shelves and working on writing. Have an absolutely FABULOUS Valentine's Day!!
