Happy February!!

Well, it appears as if the rodent has seen his shadow today. Did we really think he wasn't going to? Or that even if he hadn't, winter wouldn't last another few weeks? So, we will just continue to bundle up in warm clothes and enjoy what is left of the winter months. The best time to craft. The best time to read. Time to bake and time to write books.

Today is also the conclusion of Imbolc. The official beginning of spring. Yesterday, I made soup and bread and lit a candle to welcome back the sun. I will also write my intentions on paper and burn them in the candles that I will light tonight while I take a ritual bath with a touch of frankincense and myrrh essential oil. Then it will be off to bed early tonight and back in the office tomorrow.

I am looking forward to planting some seeds inside in the next few weeks. I've collected cardboard and magazines to do the no till gardening. We have perused seed catalogs. And we will soon be plotting out where everything is going to go. Our garden shed will soon be delivered and that means we can start moving some of our boxes of things from the storage unit to the house.

Since my recent upset in the driveway, I had to have surgery to repair my eye socket. Therefore, I've been working the day job at home. And through the experience, I've determined that I really don't think I would like to be retired. Not yet.

We will start our circuit of pop-up markets in two weeks. I'm pretty excited about my new line of all-natural skin care. And I have made up some new candle scents. The good thing about candle making is that I can multi-task and while the wax melts to the correct temperature I've been able to write.

I am about four chapters into Reprisal which is the fifth of my vigilante vampire series. If you would like to do some New Orleans history research, I would encourage you to go look up the stories about the casket girls of Saint Ursulines Convent. Somewhere in that story, you will find my character emerge from the ashes. My readers actually helped me choose her name on my reader page on Facebook. Her name is Angelique Moreau and she arrived in New Orleans during the early 1700s. Her victim of choice? Men. Abusive men. And that's the only hint I'm going to give.

Please watch oui for the release of Yule. Book 2 of my Wheel of the Witch series. As of right now, the release date is going to be February 14th. The book is at the formatter right now. Head over to my reader's group...Books, Broomsticks and Baubles on Facebook. That is where you will find the new release party kick off. There will be prizes!!

I'm going to slide on out of here. I need to start gathering together my work at home equipment and pack it away to go to the office tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful week!
