Home from Galena
I had a lovely day at Romantic Galena Reads on Saturday. Time with my author friends is always a perfect way to spend time. It was a quick trip for me--I only spent one night--but it was still good. The drive, not so much. Galena is an 8+ hour drive for me since I refuse to go through Chicago. By the time I rolled into my neighbor's driveway for his birthday party on Saturday night, it was near 1 am and I was dead on my feet.
The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy...I have goals...
Wrap up the work on I'm Not Crazy-I'm Clairvoyant and releasee it by 10/31/26
Update my slides for the workshop I'm doing on 10/3/26 about self-publishing
Prepare for the release of Mysteries of the Mississinewa anthology by our author group on 10/17/26
Promote our new Branching Out author signing program at the bookstore
Promote our October 31st Halloween event on 10/31/26
Start planning for Black Friday at the bookstore on midnight Thanksgiving Day
Get back to work on Imbolc and Ostara so that I can release them by the beginning of January
This does not include all the autumn and winter preparations around the house. Which I've started but I think the list grows for each thing I mark off. Cleaning the chicken house...clearing the garden and putting down manure...ordering hay and getting it stacked for winter storage...fall housecleaning...putting out the Halloween decorations...my head hurts thinking about it.
I do love autumn, though...I don't even mind winter as long as I have a warm fire, plenty of food, and books to read. I cannot wait until the leaves start showing off their resplendent colors and the mornings are crisp and chilly. The best time of the year in my opinion.
Okay...you saw my list...I have to get back to work on that...have a great week!!
