It's been quite a while since I have been on here. Life has been very busy with the opening of the new bookstore, getting the garden planted for the summer, opening the pool and hot tub...and of course...writing.

I'll start with the writing part...Reprisal which is book 5 of my vigilante vampire series set in New Orleans was sent to the editor night before last. The official release date is June 30th, but I am looking for ARC readers if they can make the commitment to get the book read and reviewed no later than July 1. I know, it's a short time frame, but I wasn't sure when it would be complete. If you would like to be an ARC reader for a very steamy vampire dark romance, reach out to me at teresa.keefer.author@hotmail.com

Now, since I mentioned New Orleans, I might as well talk about my recent trip there. It was a fabulous trip with the amazing authors Tina Susedik (Darlings of Deadwood Series) and Ginger Ring (The Fixer). We ate at the Vampire Cafe, visited two plantations, one cemetery, took the jazz cruise along the Mississippi, took a swamp boat tour, went to the WW2 Museum, Civil War Museum, and the Storyville Museum. All these were very informative, and we even had some ghostly encounters along the way.

Speaking of the Storyville Museum, that visit gave me the idea to write a ghostly prostitute story set in Storyville, and I will be doing that as a collaboration with my friend, editor and co-owner of the bookstore, the talented JJ Devine. It's on the table, but it's below the other projects I have in line.

Other projects...I am currently working on an anthology story for Mysteries of the Mississinewa with a group of authors from our writers' group at the bookstore. This anthology will take some of our local folklore, mysteries, and legends and turn them into fictional stories to read for enjoyment (might want to read with the lights on for some of them). If you are curious about mine, look up the French family murders in Wabash County, Indiana...it's a real story...I'm just putting a fictional spin on it. I am also a contributing author to the Galena anthology; I just need to come up with a Halloween story. Of course, I have Uncommon Heather, Sunflower Acres, Imbolc, Ostara, and I'm Not Crazy, I'm Clairvoyant all sitting in a folder in my laptop.

Unfortunately, I had to miss Wild Deadwood Reads this year because my beautiful daredevil of a daughter wrecked her Harley two weeks ago and had to be airlifted to the trauma center in Fort Wayne. We were beyond blessed to discover that the extent of her injuries was a shattered tibia and broken fibia. She had surgery to have a titanium rod put in and she is home but, on a walker, and cannot drive. I am grateful for the emergency workers and all the prayer warriors that day for sure. It could have been much worse.

I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know that I'm still around...just covered up a little bit. I also want to extend my prayers to all the folks in the Midwest who were affected by the deadly thunderstorms and tornadoes last night.

Take care and happy reading!!
