It's blustery. -5 degrees here and even with the sun shining in the living room window, I just cannot get warm. I don't mind winter...or rather I should say...I don't mind snow. But when the wind kicks up on top of already single digit temperatures...I have a problem with that.
I have spent quite a bit of time writing. Because I don't want to get out of my chair where the dog is curled up on top of the blanket on my lap and the heating pad on my feet. That's where you would have found me at 3 am when I finally rolled into bed.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but I went back on Keto two weeks ago and am already down 12 pounds. Then I enrolled at the 24/7 health club near my house and started working out on Friday. My daughter is keeping me on track by being my work out partner. She's insisting we go today even though it feels like Antartica outside. I told her we needed to wait until the temperature is above zero. She's right though, no sense in having a membership if you aren't going to use it as often as possible.
Imbolc is only 19 days away and I'll be joining the celebration being planned by the wonderful proprietor of Magick By Moonlight. Also referred to as St. Brigid's Day, Imbolc is the day we usher in spring. What?! Spring! Yes indeed! Spring flowers...spring birds...spring sunshine. I cannot wait.
We are also inching closer to Tropicon '24 in St. Augustine, F;lorida. I'll be ordering books and swag for the event really soon. We are flying on Spirit, so I know I have to pack light. I think their check bag limit is only 40#, so I'm going to be limited to bookmarks and maybe keychains...which I need to get ordered soon. I am really looking forward to exploring the historical town and spending some time in the sunshine.
I'm cutting this entry short today. There's a good movie on AMC+ starring the very sexy Sam Hueghan. I subscribed to the channel to watch the new series Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale which is pretty good so far. Three episodes in and I can't wait until the next. Hope you all have a wonderful week and stay warm and safe! Winter will be over soon!
