It's a Windy March Day

Even though the sun is shining bright, the wind outside today is wicked and cold. Which means instead of being outside and working on getting some of the flower beds in order, here I sit in the recliner with a blanket and a dog on my lap.

My granddaughter and I made a run...in our pajamas,,,to McDonald's for lunch and I've got a pork roast and potatoes in the crock pot for dinner, My laundry is done and sitting in a pile on the bed to be folded and put away. Still need to unload the car from yesterday's craft show, but that can wait for a little bit.

Got my seeds ordered last week. Included in the haul are some garden huckleberries,, horehound, peppermint, and a whole selection called the medicinal garden. Of course, there were peas, green beans, cucumbers, and beets...when the time comes I will grab tomato, cabbage, and peppers in plant form. I already have melon, squash and pumpkin seeds saved from last year. I seriously cannot wait for the weather to roll into spring and garden planting time.

I've been working through my naturopath class these last few weeks and am making good progress as well as learning some pretty amazing things. I'm pretty excited to wrap it up, get my certification, and move on to yet another class series on herbalism and naturopathy.

The baby goat...who has been named Freya...is just over 4 weeks old today. She hasn't grown much and is only about 1/3 the size of her siblings outside. I did find a source for real goat milk last week, so she is off the replacement formula. Maybe now she will grow a little bit and be able to join the others in the barn. Right now, she's too little...even though she is spunky...running around in her pink onsie.

For those of you who have other e-readers besides a Kindle, in the upcoming weeks you will be able to get all my books through other retailers. As they become available, I will drop the links here and on my Facebook page.

Ostara is the next sabbat on the wheel of the year...watch for a special post about the history and celebration of Ostara.

I'm going to run and make some homemade bread for dinner...have a good day!
