Late Post

I just now had a moment to sit down and write my blog for this week. It's been a busy weekend. First of all, my doe delivered babies on Thursday. Four of them. One was stillborn and one she rejected. So, we have a baby goat in the house...bottle feeding and diapers...and following my daughter around like she's her mama. I guess, considering she's the one doing the bottle feeding and the diapering...she is sorta the goat mom this weekend.

Most of the day yesterday I spent working on my taxes. And a big lesson was learned. This year, instead of trying to pull everything together after the year is over, I'm going to keep a running set of records all year. Next year I won't be cursing and grumbling in front of the computer for hours on end. At least they are done and all that's left is to submit them.

Today we worked on projects for the pop-up market next weekend. I managed to make some really cool wood-burned sigils, a couple St. Brigid's crosses, labeled my tinctures and candles. All that I need to do is decide which books I'll be taking along with me. We are going to do a few of these over the next few months and will be changing up what we have to offer.

I finished up the Isle of Destiny series by Tricia O'Malley and it was really good! If you like journeying into the world of faeries and Irish legends...not to mention romance...this is the series for you! Next on the Kindle is the Delta Crossroads Trilogy by Stacy Green. I'll let you know all about it when I get finished with it.

I've really got to finish up the material for my upcoming workshop on spirit guides. I'm really excited about being able to facilitate this workshop and sharing what I can about spirit guides. It will be the first of my series on spiritualism and mediumship. I'm hoping in the future, I will be able to offer these workshops remotely. Stay tuned!

In eleven days, we will be hopping on a plane and heading to St. Augustine for Tropicon24. I still have a bunch to do before we leave. Like figure out how I can get as many books as I can in two personal sized bags and one checked bag that has to weigh 40# or less. Not to mention swag and display stands. And clothes. I can't wait to visit St. Augustine and I can't wait to meet some new readers.

AFter the trip, it will be time to start working on the garden. I've been doing research on best companion plants as well as various organic fertilizers. I've got the garden plans sketched out the way I think I want to arrange it and I'll sit down when I get back from Florida to order the seeds. March 176h will be the first planting...potatoes and peas. The other stuff will come later. And I'm thinking about making my own seed tapes this year. Just so stuff is evenly spaced. Of course, after last year's constant fight with the chickens to stay out of stuff, I think I'm going to build a bigger covered run for them. Free range chickens and flower beds with mulch just don't mix.
