Rain, Rain...

Indiana has been hit with a deluge of rain over the last few days. We have significant and catastrophic flooding going on in some of our towns around and along the White River. I don't think we've seen a full day of sunshine for over two weeks now. This is not normal for us. And it has been devastating.

Our bookstore has decided to donate half of our sales from our Stories from the Orchard to the recovery efforts, so if you would like to help those who have lost their homes and possessions because of the flooding, you can order your copy directly from our website at bookwormorchard.com and we will ship to the continental US. I can't say how much shipping would be for sure until I know where the book is going and the clerk at the post office gives us a receipt. I spent a long weekend in Arizona with my two lovely sisters in law. We took a drive to all the places my brother had wanted to take me to visit to honor him since he got his wings in April. It was a wonderful way to honor his memory. We took the scenic drive up through the Black Hills to Jerome, but since I ended up getting motion sick from the curvy road, we didn't really stop and walk around. Maybe another time. We did go on up to Sedona, which was a pleasant surprise and of course, gave me some ideas for an upcoming book. Don't ask...it's too early to say a whole lot about that.

Today, I am just trying to catch up on emails and event planning, and I'll probably tuck in and work on Imbolc for a little bit tonight. We have a pretty big event this weekend in Indianapolis, then I need to prepare for going to Galena in September. I cannot believe it has been such a busy summer or that summer is coming to an end really quickly.
