I did manage to get another blog post in this month. Even though it is the last day of the month. In my defense, I have been diligently working on writing books instead of blog posts. How about I talk about that instead of defending myself?
Imbolc is coming along really well. Set in Las Vegas, our heroine has inherited the voice of an angel and the magick of a witch. How many people will fall under her spell before she realizes what she is doing? You'll have to read and find out...if you love Vegas, music and magick...this one is perfect for you!
Another book tugged at my consciousness more than what I thought it would. I guess the story is tired of being shelved on my TBW stack. Deadly Union is a sequel to Deadly Vision and in this one...you have a missing woman...a sex trafficking ring under the guise of a religious organization...and a ghost who leads them to the truth.
I've also been reading a lot and will be starting up my newsletter again tomorrow. So, if you are currently subscribed to my mailing list, watch for it tomorrow. I will be doing a monthly review of selected books and this month I will be reviewing That First Year by Margaret Kay. If you like heartwarming stories of family and healing, this one will certainly pull at your heartstrings. It did mine. I am including the link here as well in case you aren't a subscriber Amazon.com: That First Year (An Animal House Shelter Story) eBook : Kay, Margaret: Kindle Store
Things at the bookstore are about to get really exciting. On August 15th we will have Eric Grate the author of The Notorious Adams Boys in the house. That is also "Bookstore Romance Day" and we will have some specially curated Blind Date with a Book selection at $18. We will be on the road at the Anderson, Indiana Gas Light Festival on August 22nd, we will also be at the Historic Hannah House Paranormal Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana on the same date. Eleven authors in our local author group have created stories for our Mysteries of the Mississinewa anthology and it will be releasing on October 17th at the annual Paraunity event at the Miami County Fairgrounds in Peru, Indiana. It will also be available at the shop for purchase after that date. Then, on October 31st, we have planned a thrilling Halloween Party! We will have authors with their books, a paranormal investigator panel, and treats in the shop. You should go follow our page on Facebook to keep up with any additional announcements.
I am taking a couple of days in a couple of weeks to hang out with my two beautiful sisters in law in Arizona. It's been a little over three months since my brother passed away, so it will be nice to go out and put some flowers on his memorial, and I really want to go to the one little ghost town we kept talking about going to but never got to make it.
Romantic Galena Reads is on September 12th, and that's where I will be that weekend. I'll be driving up on Friday and back home again either on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. Not sure yet, but I'll figure it all out closer to the date.
I'll wrap up the autumn months with our little annual writer's retreat with my two author friends...Tina Susedik and Ginger Ring...destination this year is Wisconsin Dells. I'm looking forward to hanging out with them and getting some writing done!
Okay, I'm going to get back to work on one of these projects...after I go grab some lunch. Until next time...whenever that may be!
