Couting the Days

Three...two...one! And then I hop on a flight to Glasgow, Scotland for the Authors Invade Scotland event in Stranraer. Three days in Stranraer, three days on Loch Lomond, and three days in Airdrie. So far, on the agenda we have a trip to Wigtown where we can explore all the bookstores. We have a day planned to drive up to Inverness and beyond. Appointments to get a clairvoyant reading at Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre in Edinburgh. Other than that, I think we will likely play it by ear and by chance.
One of the things I'm really looking forward to is being able to meet a whole bunch of new readers and other authors. Well...and the different foods. Yes. I do believe I will try haggis. Maybe.
There is also a lot of various witch shops and witch historical locations on top of several castles we want to take a look at. Of course, I am going to go touch the standing stones that were featured in Outlander. You know...to touch them. See if I feel any of the time travel energy.
I am a little bit concerned. Over the fact that I have not yet received the dress and shirts I ordered three weeks ago. From Temu. I know. Has to go through customs...which it has...just nothing beyond being released by customs. On the 14th. If I don't get the stuff by Tuesday, I'm going to have to go shop for something. But I did get a backup outfit from Amazon just in case that will deliver tomorrow.
We had a pleasant surprise here at the farm yesterday. Our pullets have started laying. Blue green eggs!! They are so stinking pretty! I can't wait to see what color the other three start laying. And see if we have duck eggs pretty soon. I'm pretty sure at least 1 of the 4 quackers are girls.
Well, this isn't getting any writing done nor is it getting any packing done. I'm going to hop off here and tell you tioraidh!
Stay tuned for a full blog of the adventures yet to come!
