Yes…I know…it’s Monday not Sunday. I have a good excuse/reason for not posting a blog update yesterday though. I was working diligently on Yule-Book Two of Wheel of the Witch in hopes of having it ready for a January 1, 2025 release. In fact, I woke up at midnight last night still in my recliner with my laptop on my lap and a series of indistinguishable letters and symbols on the screen!
Along with that release, I am also going to reduce the price for Samhain-Book One of Wheel of the Witch to 99 pennies for the entire month of January. How is that for a kickoff to the new year? Watch my Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TeresaAKeefer for updates!
So, what else is going on? Well, I’ve gotten all my holiday shopping done…not wrapped…but done and piled on every surface in my bedroom. I’ll get to the wrapping chore today. The decorations are all up, so that’s a plus. I have some baking to do today and tomorrow…bread, a “Better Than Sex” cake, sticky toffee pudding…and a casserole to take to my daughter’s house for our family Christmas on Christmas Eve. On Christmas day, the menu includes prime rib, twice baked potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, broccoli salad, and the homemade bread and sticky toffee pudding…all to be enjoyed in pajamas!
How many of you celebrated the Winter Solstice? I did…with a simmer pot on the wood stove and an evening of Celtic holiday music. Blended some winter illness defense tea and bagged it up. Today, while I am doing the baking, I plan on assembling my Yuletide decoration out of cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, and anise. I will also probably cook up a batch of lavender soap and frankincense soap in preparation for the upcoming pop-up market season. Which means I also need to try to sit down and plan out which events we will be going to.
Speaking of events, for those of you within reach of the Gatlinburg area, I will be there for the Frosted Flames event at The Park Vista/DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel located at 705 Cherokee Orchard Road Gatlinburg, TN 37738. The event is from 1 pm – 5 pm. If you stop by my table and let me know you heard about the event here, I will have a gift for you! I’m going to be reserving my room for the event this afternoon…or maybe even a cabin…crossing my fingers the weather doesn’t take a turn for the worse that weekend!
Well, I’m going to cut this short today…I have a ton of things to get done if I’m going to get some writing time in! I appreciate all your support and encouragement…and for taking an interest in my books! I hope you and your loved ones have a safe and blessed holiday!!
