It’s a chilly, rainy day here at the homestead to welcome the Autumnal Equinox otherwise known as Mabon to my Wiccan friends. As I sit here, I keep hearing in my mind “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” because to me…it is! Autumn is my favorite (even though there are no more relaxing pool days in my near future)…bring on the colorful leaves, the cool evenings and chilly, frosty mornings, apple orchards, apple cider (spiked with Fireball), chili soup…the list is endless!
I am presently trying to get beyond the disappointment of having to cancel my New Orleans book signing trip, which was to have been a girls trip with my daughter and granddaughter. I kept one of the vacation days though, and going for a long weekend to Amish country in Ohio. It’s a way to appease my travel bug AND go check out all the autumn foods, crafts, and countryside.
