It's a Beautiful Spring Day

I can't say so much about yesterday though...we were at an awesome homesteader's event in Scottsburg, IN and even though the rain stopped around 9 pm on Friday night, the residual mud and damp hung around all day yesterday. But it was still a fantastic event where I met a lot of great people and some new readers. We are looking forward to their fall event in October.

I learned to make sourdough yesterday, which has been a goal of mine for quite some time. I bought a sourdough starter off the instructor, so all I have to do is remember to feed it until I have enough to make a loaf of bread. Between now and then, I'll get my cast iron dutch oven off the wood stove and clean it up really well and season it so that I have something to bake it in.

Now that the weather is starting to be cooperative at home, it's time to start really getting serious with the outside projects. I have a list. A mile long list it seems. But...how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. So, I will start with the front flower bed and work my way around until it's all done. Including the garden.

After the chilly, damp day outside yesterday it was nice to pop into the hot tub for a bit last night before bed. Believe me, I slept like a baby. Maybe that's the ticket to getting a good night's sleep every night. I'll have to try it again tonight. And it won't be long before we will be opening up the pool for the summer.

Today is my day at Enchanting Garden doing oracle card readings. It's yet another way that I get to meet new people and a way that I can hopefully help them connect with their spiritual side.

I hope you all got to grab a lot of books from the free romance book download event last week! I know that I grabbed quite a few myself and can't wait to get started on them. I just finished Tricia O'Malley's latest in her Wild Scottish series and have moved on to Nora Roberts' The Return of Rafe MacKade. On Audible, I'm wrapping up Lucy Score's Knockemout series.

As far as what I am working on, I'm making good progress on my Sunflower Acres series, but I still don't have a name for the first book. I have a few chapters written on the fifth book of my vigilante vampire series and I have the concept laid out for the third book of my Wheel of the Witch. How about a bewitching songbird whose voice unwittingly makes people fall in love...in all places...Las Vegas? Should be loads of fun there...what happens in Vegas...right?

Okay, I'm going to wrap things up for now...hope you all have a fantastic week...and stay tuned for a special blog post about Beltane this week!
