Other than a few drunken moments, I have managed to behave myself thus far. I've avoided Durty Nelly's Pub and karaoke so far, but that doesn't mean tomorrow night won't find me there. It might be a good way to wind down the event week...or wind it up one last time.
Today found us taking some much needed down time to write. I''m pretty excited about my contribution to the Galena anthology. Something pretty cool happened today which tells me I'm on the right track. I added a dog to my story by the name of Wizard who is a Belgian Shepherd...and went downtown today and looked over at the competitors for the Dock Dog event and there was a Belgian Shepherd. I went over and introduced myself to the owner and got permission to show the beautiful dog some attention.
We are all set up for the event tomorrow and I've extended invitations to several authors to join us for our Rebels With a Cause event in Gas City, IN during James Dean Days, River Run, and Ducktail Run. Hint. Hint. If you are a reader close to central Indiana and want to come join us, we have one heck of a day planned. And we still have author spots available too!
I didn't do too bad at the casino tonight. I had doubled my $100 bill and got greedy, so now I"m only up about $40. Which is better than being down that much, right? Now, we are back in the hotel room watching Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and resting up for the big event for tomorrow. I should sleep fairly well tonight after having some tasty raspberry mojitos for dinner.
Everyone have a wonderful Friday night...and if you are in Deadwood...don't forget to stop by Wild Deadwood Reads...It's the premier reader event!!
