Could it be Spring?

It's a beautiful day here in the Hoosier state. The sun is shining, the robins have returned, and I woke up to the sound of birds singing. I fear it is just a respite from winter, which I'm sure will breathe one last storm before it is completely gone and a true spring arrives. All the same, I think I'll take the day of sunshine.

I've gotten myself wrapped up in the Outlander series and have spent my evenings binge watching this fantastic story. Not that I would want to live back in those times, but they certainly appear romantic on the surface. How about you, would you want to travel back in time if only for a brief interlude? I've never been one to read regency romance and I wouldn't even want to attempt to write it, but those who do are very talented.

So far this year, I've read 7 books and am currently about halfway through The Witch of Tin Mountain by Paulette Kennedy. It's an intriguing story about the legend of a family of women witches being harassed by who I believe is the devil himself. Set in the hills of Arkansas, it bounces back and forth between 1881 and 1931. I highly recommend it if you haven't read it yet. I'm not sure what I'll read next, but if any of you have recommendations, I'd like to hear them.

This week, I haven't gotten a lot of writing done, but I believe I'll work on both manuscripts today. I absolutely enjoy writing stories steeped with magicck and witches. Not to mention, writing about Ireland, New Orleans, and out west. If I can't live in any of those places, I can at least craft stories that are set there and spend some time there myself.

As I plan my travel for 2023, I believe my enjoyment trip will be to take a cruise to the Bahamas. My granddaughter turns 21 in September and she asked me to accompany her. I've never thought much about taking a cruise, but I guess I will indulge her and perhaps even gather some material for a future book.

Tonight is the Super Bowl, and even though I really don't put a lot of interest in sports for the most part, I'll be fixing up a pizza and snacks for us to watch it later. And of course, it's the night a new episode of 1923 airs. I'm really loving these spin offs from Yellowstone. And, I hear there may be another one in the works. The other series we are watching is Your Honor and it's pretty engaging as well. And, it takes place in New Orleans.

I"m going to wrap this post up and get busy on my books. Hope you have a wonderful week!
