Santa's Workshop

My kitchen has officially been turned into Santa's workshop, and it will likely remain that way for the foreseeable future. I think the Yuletide season unleashes my creative spirit. Or maybe it's all the awesome ideas I've seen on TikTok for making it a homemade holiday.
Yesterday, it was baking. Several loaves of banana bread and cranberry bread. This evening, I think I'm going to give making candied orange slices a try. I'm also on the hunt for some good diabetic friendly baked goods to give as gifts. I bought some really cute Christmas plates and containers that I'll fill with goodies to give as gifts.
Soap, lotion and candle making is also on the list for gift giving. I think those I'll put in some baskets or find some more pretty containers. I also have some needlepoint projects that are finished and only need to be framed.
We don't have our Christmas decorations up yet except for a few items that weren't stored in the shed. So, there are some gnomes and snowmen scattered about. But I'm really wanting to get out tree put up. This will be the first time we've put it in the front window, but since we have rearranged the living room, it has a place of honor this year.
Next weekend, my grandson graduates from college, so we are all heading down to Terre Haute and I've rented an Airbnb for Friday and Saturday. We will have an all-girls' night on Friday with pizza and wine, then before we head home on Sunday, there's a really cool crystal/metaphysical shop I want to swing by and check out what they have.
Well, I need to get busy...hope you are all getting into the Yuletide spirit!!
