Sunshine and Blue Skies

Even though it is still a little chilly outside, the sunshine makes up for it. I had the baby outside for a little bit today, but her siblings and her mama still push her away. I feel bad for her because she really needs to run and play, with her own kind instead of constantly terrorizing the cats and dogs. Not to mention, she gets into EVERYTHING. I have to admit, it's entertaining to watch her go running across the floor and losing her footing. For the time being, she is laying in the sunshine on top of the trunk in front of the living room windows. Maybe after her time outside, she'll take a nap and stay out of trouble long enough for me to get some writing done.

I'm so glad that next week is a four-day work week at the day job. The weather reports look really good between now and Sunday with the exception of some storms on Tuesday and Saturday, but even that is just a slight chance. But in Indiana, that could change at the drop of a hat. I'm hoping to get my potatoes and peas in the ground, and I have a couple of berry bushes to plant as well. I'm just ready to do my gardening. I received my medicinal garden seed kit, and I need to get the bed out front prepared for that. Looks like some trips to Lowe's this week! While I'm there, I want to check out this new in-sink dishwasher combo they just came out with. It's a one-piece set with a sink on the left side and the dishwasher on the right that loads from the top. I need a dishwasher but was not really willing to give up one of my lower cabinets to install one. This solves my problem.

Yesterday afternoon when we got back from the grocery, we started watching The Last Kingdom series. We binge watched the entire first season. Yes, it was really THAT good! One night after work last week, I watched the new Roadhouse movie. It was okay but not nearly as good as the first one. I also watched the new Lindsay Lohan movie called The Irish Wish. Makes me want to go back there this year. Of course, I would live there if I could.

I bought Barbara O'Neill's book Self Heal by Design as well as the Dr. Barbara Bible. I've listened to a couple brief podcasts where she talks about holistic healing and I'm very intrigued. In recent years, I've come to the realization that pharmaceuticals are not necessarily the best thing for our bodies. Almost every prescription drug on the market has side effects whether they be immediate or long-term damage. And of course, the drug companies develop more drugs to offset those side effects. In turn, making sure they have their customer base secured. I truly believe they have a cure for cancer but will not market it because they make too much money off the chemotherapy and the side effects associated with those drugs. I could go on and on down that rabbit hole. Which is very deep indeed.

Well, with that, I'm going to wrap up for this week. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
